Septon Domaine de Bellevue

Barvaux

Barvaux is located alongside the Ourthe. The city counts several shops and nice restaurants and also offers several sports possibilities such as : kayak, mountain bike, adventure sports… Barvaux is an ideal starting point for sightseeing tours: Durbuy (3km), Marche (19 km), Hotton with the famous Caves of 1001 Nights (10 km) and La Roche (19 km) are only a short drive away.

Durbuy-Barvaux

Durbuy – also called smallest town in the world – is located alongside the Ourthe river, on the edge of the Ardennes. Its large choice of gastronomic restaurants, typical pubs or terraces and its nice shops make it very popular. In Durbuy, tiny cobbled streets wind between the ancient houses and the walls of fragrant mews. Several events are organised in the city centre, one of them being the famous Christmas Market in December. Durbuy also is an ideal place for walks, mountain bike or horse rides in the woods but also to descent the Ourthe by Kayak. To see in the surroundings: the Caves of 1001 Nignts in Hotton, the dolmens and standing stones from Wéris, the fortified castle of Logne

Havelange

Havelange - which is a rural region - counts several small typical villages and offers a green and hilly environment. In this region, those who love ‘good food’ will enjoy the cottage products of the countryside. The region is especially known for its ‘cheese route’ and castles. You could for example visit the castle of Flostoy and Chantraine, the farm-castle of Froidefontaine … The small village Ossogne is also worth a drive, you’ll discover its marvellous water mill, its castle and charming small streets boarded with houses and farms. Havelange is located close to Namur, the caves of Han, the Domain of Chevetogne, Dinant…

Heure/Somal

Heure is a rural village which is mainly located on the heights of the hilly landscape of the Famenne. Several famous restaurants and the tourist office are listed in the village or close to it. Most way-marked walks of the surroundings have their starting-point in Heure. Moressée is a small hamlet close to Heure. It provides total quietness and an unforgettable panorama: walkers will love this delightful place. Somal is close to both villages and hidden in a charming valley. This very small hamlet counts several half-timbered houses.Distances to Durbuy (10km), Marche (8km) and Rochefort (25km).

Noiseux

Tourist village of the Ourthe valley. Most of the houses offer a panoramic view on the green woody landscapes. In summertime, you can enjoy the large beach and lawn along the Ourthe (also starting point for trips down the Ourthe by kayak). The village counts a mini market, a bakery and a restaurant. Noiseux is at only 7 km distance from Durbuy, Barvaux and Marche. It makes part of the commune Somme-Leuze.

Ny/Hotton

The small quiet and picturesque village of Ny (150 inhabitants) makes part of Hotton that is only at 4 km distance. In this region, where the Ourthe and the Aisne flow together, the Ardennes offer varied landscapes: small woody ravines, small streams and steep rocks, here and there a castle… If you go for a sightseeing tour in this region, you’ll certainly enjoy it. In Hotton, you can visit the Caves of 1001 Nights with its stalagmites and stalactites but also the ‘Mill Faber’. At 10 km distance from Hotton, you’ll find Wéris, the ‘Stonehenge of the Ardennes’. In its surrounding woods, you’ll discover several rocks and dolmens whose origin is still unknown. Other cities that are worth a visit : Durbuy and its castle of the 17th century (15km), La Roche (20 km) and Marche-en-Famenne (12 km).

Ocquier

Ocquier is the most typical village of the Condroz and only located at 8 km from Durbuy – the smallest town in the world that counts numerous pubs and restaurants. In Ocquier, you’ll find everything to spend a nice holiday: various way-marked walks, an open air swimming-pool, sport facilities… The village also counts several architectural treasures: the Roman Church St Remacle, the Old Mill, the ‘Cour des Moines’… To see or to do in the surroundings: the Caves of 1001 Nights in Hotton, the Topiary Park in Durbuy, the Castle of the Counts of Modave, the descent of the Ourthe by Kayak, adventure sports…

Septon Domaine de Bellevue

The ‘Domaine de Bellevue’ – as it is indicated by its name – offers a marvellous view on the valley and is only a short drive or walk away from Durbuy. Oneux, Septon, Heyd, Tohogne and Oppagne are small typical villages with stone-built houses and all make part of the vicinity Durbuy.

Somme-Leuze

Somme-Leuze is nestled in a bosky bower and offers all necessary ingredients to spend a quiet holiday. Most of the bungalows are set on the heights of the village and provide a panoramic view on the Ardennes. You’ll be captivated by the wooded hills and fertile land where rivers and brooks flow freely. The village is only a short drive or walk away from Durbuy (10 km) but also has its own shop with bakery and restaurants.
